What is SSL?

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encrypts the data transmitted between your website server and your visitor's browser. It is indicated by the padlock icon in the address bar and "https://" URL.

Why You Need It

  • Security: Protects passwords and credit card info.
  • Trust: Browsers mark non-HTTPS sites as "Not Secure".
  • SEO: Google ranks HTTPS sites higher.

Free vs. Paid SSL

We provide free AutoSSL (via Let's Encrypt) for all domains, which is sufficient for most sites. Paid EV certificates offer higher assurance levels for large e-commerce brands.
