Where to Manage DNS

If your domain points to Janhost nameservers, you manage DNS in cPanel via "Zone Editor". If you use a third-party DNS like Cloudflare, you manage it there.

Common Record Types

  • A Record: Points a hostname (like @ or www) to an IP address.
  • CNAME: Points a hostname to another hostname (alias).
  • MX Record: Controlled email routing.
  • TXT Record: Used for verification (Google, SPF) and arbitrary text.

Warning: Incorrect DNS changes can take your site offline. Proceed with caution.
